Policy Brief: Sharing & Sustaining the Earth's Resources. (Feb 2012)
In this policy brief, we explore the complexities of communicating about international family planning and discuss the linkages and challenges of population growth and environmental impact. Findings show that addressing these linkages can protect the environment and advance women’s rights and health. The policy brief draws on opinion research commissioned by Friends of UNFPA in 2011 to gauge American environmentalists’ views on population and family planning issues. We call for greater communication and collaboration between environmentalists and advocates for women’s rights and health to better share and sustain the Earth’s resources.
