International Award Sponsors

In 2006 Americans for UNFPA launched the Gala for the Health and Dignity of Women and the International Awards for the Health and Dignity of Women to celebrate individual achievements of women everywhere and to put a human face to the great work of UNFPA.

Each year, we name the award after a prestigious woman who, through service and philanthropy, shows a lifelong commitment to women’s health and rights or international affairs. The international award sponsor presides over the awards program at the Gala. She highlights the work of dynamic women affiliated with UNFPA country programs who deliver health services and promote the rights of women under the most challenging of circumstances.
