Laos and Cambodia:
October 25 – November 3, 2008

Set on the Indochina Peninsula, Laos and Cambodia offer delegates an unparalleled glimpse of South-East Asian life. This “behind the scenes” tour allows delegates to learn more about UNFPA’s programs providing reproductive health services for youth and ethnic minorities, promoting gender equality and preventing HIV/AIDS in the region. Delegates will also visit the majestic temples of Angkor Wat.

UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is one of the only international development agencies that promote the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity. UNFPA aims to reduce poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, every young person is free of HIV/AIDS, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect.
